Use

If you’re looking for a commuter vehicle, this isn’t the right bike for you. These bikes aren’t equipped to drive on city streets or across the pavement. However, they’re perfect for maneuvering in sand, mud, and dirt! If you’re looking to hit nearby trails or your local off-road racing track, a dirt bike is the perfect option for you.

Features

In order to keep their bodies lightweight and easy to control, these bikes aren’t often outfitted with many features. While they may have a few convenient parts added, they’re largely ‘naked’ when first purchased. However, this isn’t an issue for most buyers, as it’s extremely easy to customize a dirt bike to fit your needs.

Engine

Dirt bikes usually come with two engine options: two-stroke and four-stroke. While the two-stroke motor is effective, it isn’t as powerful as the four-stroke. It does, however, allow the bike to remain much lighter, making it easier to maneuver and hit high speeds quickly. On the other hand, a four-stroke engine packs quite the punch, and its added weight will provide extra stability to your ride. However, a four-stroke engine can be a lot to handle and is best suited for experienced dirt bike riders.
